Hospital CFO Honored
The Board of Directors of the Families First Health and Support Center at their Annual Meeting recognized Richard Senger for his commitment to the agencys mission and for his very hard work as a Board Member, Board Treasurer and Finance Committee Member. Richard is the Chief Financial Officer of Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
At the October 4, 2007, meeting Richard Senger was made the first Director Emeritus. He is stepping down from the Board of Directors but is keeping this honorary title in recognition of all his work for the agency. Helen Taft the Executive Director of the agency acknowledged, His awareness of the human and financial value Families First brings to the community has been key in ensuring the hospitals generous support. His efforts have enabled this agency to develop and sustain new primary care, oral health and family support programs during his tenure.
Richard is a founding member of the Prenatal and Endowment Programs, serving on the Board of Directors for over 20 years. Before its move to the Community Campus the agency was located on the second floor of Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Since its inception, Families First Health and Support Center has received several million dollars in funding and in-kind donations from the hospital.
He joined Hospital Corporation of America in 1978, serving as the Controller for the HCA Management Company at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, Vermont. Richard has been with Portsmouth Regional Hospital since 1985. The corporate office has recognized Richard as an outstanding Chief Financial Officer, honoring him with the CFOs Annual Award.
